Living on the Intersection of Kink, Consent & Race
A Talk with Mollena Lee Williams-Haas organized and financed by the Equal Opportunities Team (AfG), Gender&Space Professorship and the Institute for Education in the Arts.
As an African-American Alternative Sexuality Educator, Writer, Performer and Muse, Mollena Lee Williams-Haas possesses a unique perspective and over 27 years of experience in the BDSM, Kink and Leather Lifestyle. The talk will center on her thoughts and experiences as a woman of color navigating the chaos of consensual power exchange as she lives it every day. How and why can the experience and knowledge from kinky communities benefit to interested audience beyond this context?
About the lecturer
Mollena Lee Williams-Hass aka the "Delicate, Trembling Flower of Submission" is an NYC-born and raised writer, actress, BDSM Educator, Storyteller, sobriety fiend since March 14th, 2007, and an Award-Winning Executive Pervert. Mollena fervently believes that so much of what we do in BDSM, Kink and Leather is of benefit to everyone! As the Kink Doula, her mission and calling is to share as much as she possibly can, and in doing so, facilitate for others the rebirth and growth that she has herself experienced through Kink.
About the moderator:
Sara Ablinger is a Vienna based queer, fat activist, bodyworker and workshop facilitator specialised in body positivity & body acceptance, consent culture, intimacy and conscious sexuality. She creates spaces of empowerment, authenticity, connection, pleasure and healing, focusing on the empowerment and participation of marginalised bodies such as queer, fat, disabled bodies.
