The main building of the Academy at Schillerplatz has two main entrances that cater to different physical disability needs.
Schillerplatz Entrance:
- For persons with visual impairments: a tactile guidance system leads from the sidewalk down the right side of the historic staircase to the porter's lodge (on the ground floor)
- For persons with walking disabilities: the historic staircase is equipped with additional handrails.
- For persons with limited mobility: a signpost leads from the Schillerplatz entrance to the barrier-free Makartgasse entrance.
Makartgasse entrance:
- For persons with mobility impairments: an intercom system (stele on the left) is used to reach the porter, who can open the automatic gate.
- In the passage, a ramp on the left side reaches the large automatic entrance door, which can be opened with a button to the right of the door.
- From there (basement) you can reach the elevator for access to the other floors. The doorman is located on the ground floor.
- Opening hours entrance Makartgasse: from 8 to 20 h.

Main entrance Lehárgasse 8 (porter's lodge).
- The main entrance is wheelchair accessible.
- To have the gate opened, press the door opener (red button) on the left side of the gate.
- The elevator is located on the right side at the end of the foyer, from there you can reach other floors barrier-free.
- Opening hours main entrance: from 8 to 24 h

- Lifts: the building has one lift, equipped with wheelchair accessible controls, connecting all levels.
- Toilets: three accessible toilets are centrally located on three levels of the building (on the first floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor). The toilets are accessible with Eurokey.

The Sculpture Studios location has two entrances:
Main entrance at the corner of Kurzbauergasse / Böcklinstraße:
- For persons with walking disabilities: the staircase is equipped with additional handrails.
- For persons with limited mobility: please use the entrance Sportklubstraße.
Entrance Sportklubstraße:
For persons with mobility impairment: to open the gate automatically, press the button. Through the courtyard you can reach the first floor without barriers. From there you can reach the two lifts for access to the other floors.
Opening hours entrance Sportklubstraße: from 7 am to 3 pm.

- Lifts: the building has one lift that connects all levels (from courtyard level to top floor).
- Toilets: five accessible toilets are located on four levels of the building (on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors and attic). The toilets are accessible without Eurokey.
- Kindergarten groups: the LULU kindergarten and the KAKADU children's group will be located in replacement quarters in the Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse courtyard from September 2021. The replacement quarters can be reached barrier-free via the gate (Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse 5) and through the courtyard.

- Lifts: the two exhibition levels are connected by a lift. To access the lower level barrier-free, report to the supervisory staff.

The temporary accommodation of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna at Augasse 2-6 is accessible for people with limited mobility via a side entrance on Josef-Holaubek-Platz (barred door behind the bus stop). The entrance to the elevator is located on the right-hand side behind the barred door. To open the door in front of it, please ring the bell for the porter.
