About the Graphic Collection
The Graphic Collection forms the visual memory of the Academy and is one of the most important graphic collections in Austria. The inventory consists of approximately 40,000 drawings, about 25,000 photographs and 38,000 prints from various epochs of European art history from the 14th century to the present.
As a historical collection of teaching materials and picture archive, the Graphic Collection documents over 300 years of teaching history and events at the Academy. Due to the breadth, the enormous scope and the high quality of the collection, it can also be regarded as a universal collection of graphics.
