Annalisa Cannito
Annalisa Cannito was born in Acqui Terme, Italy in 1984. She studied communication sciences at the Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell'Università degli Studi di Bologna (BA 2007) and fine arts with Marina Gržinić at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (diploma 2013).
"In the Belly of Fascism and Colonialism" deals with the subjects of fascism and colonialism as well as their interfaces to present-day forms of colonialism and processes of new fascism in the EU. The project attempts, in particular, to critically analyze the colonial structures of power in Italy today. It illuminates the thinking and commitment of those who hold the status of (post)-colonial migrant cultural workers - including so-called "second-generation migrants" who view their background in a more differentiated way - in order to arrive at a non-Eurocentric historiography. The work is being shown as a transdisciplinary installation.

Lucia Papčo
Lucia Papčo was born in Bratislava, Slovakia in 1987. She studied fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava as well as with Martin Guttmann at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where she received her diploma in 2012.

Lucia Papčo works at the interface of photography and graphic art, where she explores landscapes and the classic black-and-white process. If a space loses the connection to its origin, for example through the encryption of underexposure, a new relationship emerges behind the actual landscape and the visible surface of the photograph. The fine line between loss and preservation, alienation and presence - dependent on perfect light conditions - changes the significance of the image and the space. The photographic image of a landscape becomes an entity, abstraction becomes a level of reference for content and form. At the same time, the photograph invites the beholder to enter into the landscape - into the dense wood where myths come to life, the sociopolitical present dissolves into the background and the Self is called into question.
Christian Tonko
Christian Tonko was born in Feldkirch, Austria in 1984. He studied architecture at the Institute for Art and Architecture (IKA) of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and received his diploma in 2010.

"Sanatorium" is a design for a reconstruction of the abandoned nuclear power plant in Zwentendorf to serve a radically different new purpose as a sanatorium for rheumatic diseases. The precisely controlled spatial and climatic environment traditionally provided for diseased bodies is replaced by numerous varying milieus. In place of a precise organization of bodies under specific beneficial conditions, "Sanatorium" offers heterogeneous spatial concepts. Heaviness and lightness, exposure and enclosure, hygiene and filth, efficiency and extravagance are present in equal measure and come together to create spatial sequences. The disciplined movement of bodies in a space is averted and the modern approach to creating therapeutic spaces is superseded.
