Luise Müller
Luise Müller is Mentee of Fabian Knierim
Luise Müller, * in Frankfurt, studied art and film at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna—initially under Thomas Heise, later under Tizza Covi, with whom she completed her diploma in 2024.
In her documentary films, Luise Müller portrays places and people with great care and precise visual and acoustic nuances. Her background in painting imbues her films with a distinctive sense of composition, light, and aesthetics, always navigating the tension between intellect and emotion. In her cinematic language, Luise Müller focuses particularly on details, rhythm, and emptiness, creating a contrast to the indifference and harshness of everyday life. "Her core theme is ambivalence, the unspeakable, the untenable, that which we cannot put into words." (Tina Teufel, Curator for Contemporary Art, Museum der Moderne Salzburg)
