Finissage: Archeology of Whispers
Workshops and finissage of the exhibition Archeology of Whispers with Ziliia Kanchurina, André Rachadel, Daniel Sea, and Seul A Shin as part of the series Wer A… sagt of the A...cademy Library.
Through a queer and transfeminist perspective, the participating artists stage existential themes such as care, community, belongingness, loss, corporeality, working class and migrant issues in multimedia works. A series of workshops concludes this exhibition.
3 p.m.: Felting Workshop with Ziliia Kanchurina
Performance and Workshop where the participants will have the opportunity to make a felt sculpture as a Christmas toy. Materials and tools will be provided.
Maximum 10 participants, registration required: ziliya1992july@gmail.com
4 p.m.: Freu dich doch, Ausländer. Collage Workshop with André Rachadel
The work that unites us, the silence, the visas that unite us, that bind our pain? This is a silent workshop, a proposal for telling a story, a collective collage.
5 p.m.: Drawing on paper. Collecting body drawing Workshop with Seul A Shin
This is a participatory workshop. We'll figure out how obsessed we are with the perfect body, together using a short play. Drawing tools are provided. Participants follow the guide's instructions to draw and complete pictures within randomly given keywords. A short discussion period will be given and each will bring their own drawings. We live by making idols of the ideal behavior we want to show. The body drawn behind the transparent layer is meant to say that nudes of ideal beauty treated in art are no different from pornography that displays life.
5:45 p.m.: Research-based performance workshop with Daniel Sea
Sea shares about their current approach to research-based performance.
