Memento Mori - Artist Talk
Artist Talk with Severin Standhartinger and Fiona Prohaska, both students at the University of Arts Linz (Experimental Design and raum&designstrategien), and Benjamin Ben Amotz and Daphne von Schrader, students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Art and Intervention) as part of the exhibition Memento Mori.
As part of the memento mori series, students from the University of Arts Linz and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna are showing sculptural installations and video works in the Ursulinenkirche Linz.
The artistic works were created in reflection of current debates surrounding global challenges such as climate change and the daily stream of alarming news about worldwide crises. The exhibition format is the result of a co-operation between the University of Arts and the Diocese of Linz. The show in the sacred spaces was curated by Martina Gelsinger from the Department of Art and Culture of the Diocese of Linz and Anja Ellenberger from the University of Art and Design Linz in collaboration with Judith Huemer from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
