Luxembourg Art Prize
The Luxembourg Art Prize is an annual international prize organized by the Pinacotheque, a private, non-profit museum located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Every year the Prize aims to discover talents, amateur or professional, regardless of age and nationality.
Since it was created in 2015, this contest aims to launch or boost the careers of artists who have yet to be recognized at the international level by enabling them to show their work at a European museum as part of a group exhibition of the finalists. The Luxembourg Art Prize also gives the artists a sound museum reference to add to their curriculum vitae.
The winner receives significant help in the form of a grant of €50'000 (about US$54,000 GBP45,000 CHF53,000 CA$76,000 JPY6,000,000). The winner is entirely free to use this money in any way they choose.
The Prize is aimed at artists working in one or more of the following media: drawing, printing, installation, painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, decorative art (textiles and material, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, mosaic, paper or other techniques).
