The Art | Research | Support Department at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna provides complimentary services by combining the working areas of the research service, of the Center for Doctoral Studies, and of knowledge transfer.

Scope of activity

• Art | Research | Service
  The research service at the Art | Research | Support Department advises and supports colleagues who wish to realize project ideas in the areas of scientific and artistic-scientific research, but also in that of artistic practice. The Art | Research | Service assists in identifying funding opportunities from third parties, especially in the context of competitive grant contests, and offers also active support in the implementation of the project at and with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
• Center for Doctoral Studies
  The Center for Doctoral Studies aims to support all doctoral studies offered by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and provides offers for both PhD-candidates and their supervisors. It thus serves as the organizational interface that pools already existing activities and develops new offers.
  
• Knowledge Transfer
  The Knowledge Transfer unit is responsible for the coordination and implementation of various knowledge transfer related projects in the fields of art, arts-based research, the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies in Vienna.
