170.000 euros net proceeds at the Academy Auction 2025

The Academy of Fine Arts is delighted with the net proceeds of 170,000 euros from this year's Academy Auction. The Academy's successful charity event in cooperation with the Dorotheum took place for the 11th time in January 2025.

A large part of the net proceeds will support students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna who have to overcome financial or social challenges. The Academy is keeping the 2nd Year Scholarship and the Mental Health Fund for students at the same level as last year. In addition, the associations tralalobe and solidarity matters, which work with refugees in Austria, will receive 60,000 and 35,000 euros respectively.

"In view of the current global challenges, this outstanding auction result is particularly gratifying," emphasizes Ingeborg Erhart, Vice Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. "My heartfelt thanks go to the generous artists, our long-standing cooperation partners and all buyers. Your contribution enables us year after year to connect exciting artistic positions with art lovers - and all for a good cause."
