Andrea Haas
Andrea Haas studied art and communication and lives in Vienna. On her own initiative she went on several study trips to Canada; these included a period of attendance at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver) as a guest auditor in 2011 and a visit to The Banff Centre for research purposes in 2013.
Her artistic works take up the theme of archives and see the gaps within the latter as starting points for the reconstruction of hegemonic historiography. Invisibilities can thus provide space for the imagination and impetus for completely rethinking structures of representation.
Queering the Archive: From A to J – A Ghost Road Movie is her diploma project. In it, she uses experimental artistic processes to break up rigid structures at both the visual and textual levels and reveal possibilities for queer feminist perspectives.
Edward George Lloyd
Edward was born in England, UK in 1987. He graduated from the University of Liverpool School of Architecture in 2010 and continued his studies at the Institute for Art and Architecture (IKA) of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, receiving two prizes for his master thesis (advisors: Oliver Domeisen, Hannes Stiefel & Hannes Mayer) in 2015: the Pfann-Ohmann-Preis and the Würdigungspreis of the Academy. Edward was also selected as a finalist for the Prague-based StartPoint prize in 2015.
The Tears Of A Setting Sun. A Tale Of Tenganism, Gold And Textiles
In his work, Edward extends the traditions of the nomadic tribes of Mongolia to the present conditions, and expresses the current environment through a series of contemporary artefacts that work with the shifting temporal notions of technique and production. Traditional architectural representation is transposed to that of the object, and in doing so acts as a prototype for the rewriting of a cultural identity and a bridge between the traditional canons of architecture and cultural studies, while at the same time working with the dichotic relationship that runs through the veins of Mongolia, the palimpsest of permanence and time. Most importantly, his work serves as a paradigmatic example of how cultural values can be re-established within the nomadic communities of contemporary Mongolia.

Anastasiya Yarovenko was born in 1983 in Tula, and lives and works in Vienna. She studied Philology: Theory, History of Literature and Comparative Studies at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, Ukraine (MA 2006) and Fine Arts with Kirsi Mikkola at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (diploma 2015). Recent exhibitions include: Spring Onions. The Elementary Forms of Social , Schneiderei, Vienna (2013), Kyiv Biennial, The School of the Displaced (2015), 6th Moscow Biennial of Contemporary Art (2015). The work of Anastasiya Yarovenko deals with space as a situation, as a material gesture, as a collective image. Between form and function, between space and dimension, it creates concrete opportunities and specific associations. She uses the grid as a tool to depict and combine different aspects of reality. This grid maps the surface of the objects; it maps the space of the room, and at the same time the social relationship. It is more than just a formal device or a tool. It creates a situation like that in which we find ourselves today, in which social forms, structures and products that limit individual choices and patterns of acceptable behavior can no longer keep their shape.
