Visiting professor
according to § 99 UG 2002 of the Universities Act 2002 (Universitätsgesetz 2002-UG) for Stage Design. This appointment is starting at 1st October 2012 until 31st January 2013.
Requirements for application:
- outstanding artistic qualifications in the area of Stage Design focused on staged rooms and contemporary space concepts in a formal and methodological manner. In terms of a transdisciplinary understanding of art the successful candidate will interrelate with other disciplines, media and genres in her/his work, candidates’ readiness to engage in debates on Stage Design will be welcomed;
- Austrian or international university level degree commensurate with the position (or comparable artistic qualification),
- documented artistic and arts-based research qualifications
- documented pedagogical and didactical qualifications and a statement about your own ideas about artistic education and research;
- German and/or English language skills.
Teaching obligations consist of 17 units per week for stage design at the Institute of Art and Architecture.
The gross monthly salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for university employees in group A1 is
currently EUR 4,571.20. Salary may be increased contingent upon candidates’ qualifications.
