Till Krappmann
Art can be a mouthpiece to probe society and its dynamically complex process of change, political structures, justice/power, social norms/normality, etc. and to make deviations, anomalies, foreign bodies and taboos visible, to reinforce and to reflect. As an artist, I feel an urgency to deal with topics that reflect the formation and deformation of human history, the current coexistence of people and the resulting frictions and conflicts. Especially in times when humans see themselves as the omnipotent climax of earthly evolution, the empathic and fundamentally human competencies often reveal many doubts and questions.
