Chiara Bartl-Salvi
Chiara Bartl-Salvi is mentee of Michikatzu Matsune
Chiara Bartl-Salvi (*1995) studied art and media with Constanze Ruhm at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. In 2014-2015 she attended the School Friedl Kubelka of Artistic Photography and in 2016-2017 the School Friedl Kubelka for Independent Film.
Bartl-Salvi's works are influenced by her early experiences in contemporary dance and theater. Her worlds are digital, analog as well as physical, thus making use of multimedia forms of expression. Through her conceptual approach, which she forms from dance and theater theoretical as well as art historical approaches and her artistic-choreographic practice, she develops her own work/movement and sound material.
In 2022, she was awarded the Bmkös Start Scholarship for Music and Performing Arts as well as the TQW Body & Performance Practices Scholarship. In addition to her own artistic-choreographic projects, she has collaborated and worked as a performer for Donna Huanca (Piedra Quemada, Unteres Belvedere 2018-19), Malin Bülow (Elastic Still Lives, Fotogalerie Wien 2020), Willi Dorner (Tanzkaraoke 2021) and Kompanie Freispiel (Spiel auf Zeit, Dschungel Wien 2022).
