Biomaterials for New Visual and Sensory Narratives through Transformation and Re-signification: Lecture and Discussion by Elia Maria Gasparolo (ARG). Organised as part of the painting course by Carla Degenhardt.
This exploration delves into the significance of our domestic lives, the layers of archaeology, and the overlooked narratives hidden in waste. By transforming and reimagining everyday materials, we uncover stories that are deeply tied to our family traditions, shared histories, and lived experiences. How can we craft narratives that celebrate the intimacy of home, the resilience of objects, and the connections between past and present? Through these processes, we re-signify the mundane and offer new ways of understanding the spaces, artifacts, and memories.
