Oesterreichische Nationalbank | Anniversary Fund
The Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB ) has provided funding for top-level research through its Anniversary Fund since 1966.
The OeNB Anniversary Fund promotes high-quality scientific work in the fields of economics and the medical sciences (clinical research) as well as projects in the humanities and social sciences , whereby the funding is intended to reinforce and strength Austria’s position as a research location (no focus areas have been determined for social science and humanities projects).
In 2014, the Anniversary Fund provided a total of EUR 9.4 million to support scientific projects. The General Council of the OeNB decides which projects will receive funding, basing its decision on the information from international peer reviews of the project.
