Open Call of the Academy | Design oriented publications "Fine Companions"
The Rectorate is now opening the call for submissions for new, design-oriented volumes of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. The call is aimed at employees (including project staff) and students of the Academy.
The publication series now comprises 26 volumes. Volumes 1-11 are published by Schlebrügge.Editor, the books from volume 12 onwards are published by Sternberg Press.
The current call focuses on projects and submissions from the fields of fine arts, restoration and architecture that explore the possibilities of artists’ books. In the selection process, attention is paid to the relevance of the artistic production and the quality of the concept. Particular attention will be paid to surprising forms of knowledge production and their editorial, formal, haptic and sustainable interconnections within the publication.
