FWF | Hertha Firnberg Programme
The FWF is offering extremely well qualified female scientists who are working towards a career in universities the chance of a two-stage funding for a total of six years.
The target group are highly qualified scientists of any disciplines, who have completed their doctoral studies and can provide evidence of international scientific publications. The funding length is 36 months, of which up to 12 months can be spent at a research facility abroad. The funding is 67.670,- Euros per year for personnel costs and up to 12.000,- euros per year for project-specific costs.
Applications in English are submitted twice a year via the FWF's electronic application portal. The FWF's Board awards the grants based on an international review process in the June Board meeting (for fall call) or in the November or December Board meeting (for spring call).
Start of call for applications: 14 October 2019
Submission deadline: 13 December 2019 (date of the postmark)
