Emil Boral Scholarship
The Emil Boral Scholarship is available to young scientists in Austria and Switzerland (postgraduates) who have already completed an academic course at a university. An austrian or swiss citizenship is required.
Thematic requirement: the scholarship will be granted for work in one of the following fields:
Medicine (particularly cancer and cardiovascular disease research)
Chemistry
Biology
Philosophy
Sociology
Law
Entries from the three last-named fields should propose research into behaviour patterns in connection with the promotion of peace within societies and among nations.
According to the founder’s intentions, the scholarship will only be awarded to young scientists who are willing to spend a year working exclusively on their research, using their own or other means. This is a fundamental prerequisite of eligibility for this scholarship.
1 scholarship per countr y ( Austria, Switzerland) with the amour of 25.000€ for 12 months are granted.
Submission: The application documents must be submitted to the Office for Research Services and Career Development (Forschungsservice und Nachwuchsförderung) both electronically and as hard copies.

The decisive date for asessment of compliance with the deadline is the date of posting shown by the postmark on the envelope. Please note that the electronically sent and the mailed application documents must be identical. If there are differences between the two sets of papers, your application will not be accepted.
