The Academy mourns the death of Walter Troppmann

The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna announces with great regret that Walter Troppmann (1952-2024)  has passed away.
Walter Troppmann worked at the Academy for almost three decades as an employee in the Facility Management and Procurement department. His colleagues describe him as competent and reliable, friendly and always helpful. He supported several generations of students with great commitment and was there for teachers as well as for staff and colleagues until his retirement. He was also a full member of the works council for general university personnel for many years.

Our sincere condolences go out to his family and all those left behind. We wish them strength in this sad time.
