The art collections of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna - Picture Gallery, Museum of Prints and Drawings and Glyptothek - have been combining historical masterpieces with contemporary art in the exhibition The Purloined Masterpiece. Pictures as Time Machines, the art collections of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna - the Picture Gallery, the Museum of Prints and Drawings and the Glyptothek - have been entering into a multi-layered dialogue with contemporary art since April of this year.
In the rooms of the Picture Gallery, a tour through art history from the 15th century to the present day opens up, as reflected in the richness of the three collections.
