Public workshop: „Rasse“ und die ursprüngliche Akkumulation der Ästhetik
The aim of the public workshop „Rasse“ und die ursprüngliche Akkumulation der Ästhetik ("Race" and the Original Accumulation of Aesthetics) is to examine the entanglements of philosophical aesthetics emerging in Western Europe in the 18th century with the dynamics of original accumulation described by Marx, with particular attention to the construction of race, which has so far received far too little attention in aesthetics. In doing so, the workshop aims to make a long-overdue contribution to the self-enlightenment of the canon of Western aesthetics.
