Magdalena Hilpold

Magdalena Hilpold, born in 1999 in South Tyrol, studied stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Anna Viebrock and Nina von Mechow, as well as at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. In 2024, she graduated with distinction for her diploma project being read. 

In theater and performance projects, she works in the fields of set design, costume design, conceptualization, and as a performer (Von Zwischenräumen und frittierter Sonne, 2022). As a trained set and costume designer, she creates works that lie at the intersection of performativity and installation. She views artistic creation as a process that allows for experimentation across various disciplines, exploring the experimental potential of the theater medium.
