STRABAG Kunstforum | Artaward International
The STRABAG Artaward has been awarded in Austria since 1994 and internationally since 2009 as an art promotion prize for artists up to the age of 40 in the fields of painting and drawing.
Prize money
A main prize of 16,000 euros and four recognition prizes of 8,000 euros each are awarded annually. In addition, works by the award-winning artists may be purchased for the STRABAG Artcollection.
After the award ceremony and the joint exhibition of the prize-winning works, all five award-winning artists will receive a solo exhibition at the STRABAG Kunstforum in Vienna. All award-winning artists can apply for a studio residency at the STRABAG Artstudio in Vienna.
Participating countries 2024 - 2026
In addition to Austria as a permanent participating country, applications from Germany and Slovenia will be accepted from 2024 to 2026. In addition, citizens of Ukraine who are currently resident in one of the participating countries are eligible to participate, regardless of the duration of their stay.
