ÖAW Call | JESH - Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities

JESH is open to scientists who completed their PhD / doctoral degree within the last 10 years and have a residence and an affiliation with a research institution in their home country. There is no restriction regarding the nationality of the participant.

JESH Incoming: Scientists from selected countries (see below) are invited to apply for a research stay at an eligible research institution in Austria.

JESH Outgoing: Scientists from Austria are invited to apply for a research stay at a research institution in one of the selected countries (see below).

Travel and accommodation costs for research stays between a minimum of two months (60 calendar days) and a maximum of six months (180 calendar days) can be financed. Other project costs, overheads or continuation of already existing cooperations cannot be reimbursed.

Selected Countries are: Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belize, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Serbia, Slovenia, Suriname, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela
