a wide blink

a wide blink is a film screening, which will collect a huge range of video works, films and other moving images, from the students of the sculpture department at Kurzbauergasse. The screening highlights our relation between moving images and cinema these days. Where is the blurred border between private footage and the ones specially made for the public eye?  It is estimated that about one and a half billion hours of moving images were produced in 1999, twice as many as a decade before. If that rate of growth continues, one hundred billion hours of moving images will be made in the year 2025. With this screening the attempt is made to investigate the hierarchy between certain imagery. The screening is curated and organized by Julian Ernst, we’re looking forward seeing you there!
