Best Austrian Animation Festival: Practical symposium
The symposium will be in German language.
A project by ASIFA Austria in cooperation with Filmcasino, Sehsaal, the workshop for Artistic Animated Film at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and animation.art.at.
The focus of this year's practical symposium is the exchange of experiences between students and professionals from the film industry. The speakers of the first two panels are students and alumni of different schools, while the third panels will discuss animation work within the framework of projects such as Rotzbua, Sine Meta Drom and Mythos Mozart. A fourth panel will offer the opportunity to discuss funding perspectives for animated films with representatives from BMKOES (Art Ministery / Film Dept.) and ÖFI (Austrian Film Institute).

At the beginning Jürgen Hager introduces the organisation ANIMA PLUS, and its activities in the area of production support for animated films.
Peter Schernhuber (BMKOES / Art Ministery – Film Dept.) and Werner Zappe (ÖFI – Austrian Film Institute) talk about funding opportunities and perspectives for animated films, followed by a round table with audience participation.
