Unleash the invisible – The Power of spectral imaging
ICARUS, the Institute for Conservation – Restoration, the Austrian affiliation of conservators and the team of XpectralTEK (Portugal) organise a workshop focused on the current spectral imaging technology used in active and preventive conservation.
The basic principles of spectral imaging will be explained and the available technological solutions presented. Current use of this technology in the field of cultural heritage will be demonstrated and future applications discussed.
The workshop is targeted to students for conservation-restoration and professionals in museums, archives, libraries as well as in the field of conservation-restoration.
