Laura Juliane Hatting

I was born 1994 in Leipzig and am a former student of the Art and Photography class at the Academy of fine arts Vienna. I live in Vienna.

My work and my work ethics are hybrid, transdisciplinary, and most often time-based and/or site-specific. I write and read the written out loud, I compose music as my black metal alter ego Gnever, I make drawings in ink, print and sculpture. I merge all the skills from all the fields that are my life- may they seem incompatible or not- into my art. Currently I’m focusing on the matters of time as class issue (resp. as giving scope for every day cruelties) and the abolition of the real in favour of „more productive“ concepts by a capitalism that’s running out of resources.
