Free admission for artists to Austrian federal museums!
IAA Card to be recognised at the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Albertina. The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna also advocates, in the sense of promoting artists, that artists with the International Artists' Card of the IAA receive free admission to all Austrian federal museums.

Rehema Chachage receives the H13 Award for Performance
For the 17th time - and for the first time in international cooperation with Bergen Kunsthall in Norway - Kunstraum Niederoesterreich awards the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance, this time to Rehema Chachage, PhD in Practice student at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Audience voting: Ö1 Talente grant 2023
Together with the Austrian art universities, Ö1 is again looking for talented young artists in 2023. A grant for visual arts in the amount of 10,000 euros will be awarded, which will be made available by Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein.

Playground Art Prize 2023 goes to Lotti Brockmann
This year, the PLAYGROUND ART PRIZE 2023 of the Galerie VON&VON goes to Lotti Brockmann, student at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Prof. Veronika Dirnhofer, for her work Stolen Statues (Licked). Since 2016, the PLAYGROUND exhibition series has offered young artists the ideal opportunity to present their work to a broad audience and make their first contacts in the art world.

Paula Strunden nominated for the Dutch Film Award
Paula Strunden's work Alison's Room: An Extended Reality (XR) Archive, which she produced as part of her dissertation as part of the EU research project TACK: Communities of Tacit Knowledge: Architecture and Its Ways of Knowing, has been nominated for the Dutch film award Gouden Kalf.
